Today I had the GOLD star eye examination at Brown & White in Hook, and was incredibly impressed with the length & breadth of the examination.
Anna, the optician really put me at my ease, and took time to carefully explain the tests that were taking place. She has a lovely manner, and was patient in answering my questions.
This was the third GOLD examination that I have had in the Hook branch (once every two years), and I can honestly say that it gives me so much confidence knowing that my eyes are being looked after in the most professional manner possible.
Anna also checked my current glasses, and suggested that I speak to Sarah as they weren’t fitting me correctly.
Sarah was absolutely wonderful and took my glasses (twice!!) to her lab and made changes to the frames until they fitted perfectly. Bear in mind that I had purchased these Porsche frames from Brown & White four years ago and they were still happy to painstakingly amend the frames free of charge.
I also appreciated the fact that she took the time to show me some alternative frames that I may like to consider in the longer term to replace my current glasses. I will undoubtedly look to do this.
Unlike the “large corporate opticians”, it feels like a family here, and as a consequence you receive a wonderful personal service.
If you are looking for the “Rolls Royce” of opticians, and want to support a local company I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND calling Brown & White.
This is a place where the staff are wonderful & friendly, the level of professionalism exceptional, and the customer care exemplary!!!
